Selwyn Cobbo's hat-trick and a standout display from Queensland's Pacific stars help crush New South Wales 44-24 at the MCG and force a decider at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Queensland's Pacific stars stepped up when it mattered most to keep the State of Origin series alive with a dominant 44-24 win over New South Wales in front of a record crowd in Melbourne.
After losing Game One in Sydney, the Maroons produced a stunning turnaround at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Wednesday night to level the series and set up a winner-takes-all decider in Brisbane next month.
A record 91,671 fans packed into the stadium, the biggest crowd ever to watch a State of Origin match.
Queensland’s win was driven by a full team performance with contributors across the park as the Maroons regrouped after a shaky start.
Selwyn Cobbo was again a constant threat on the edge and crossed for a hat-trick while Kalyn Ponga sparked several attacking movements from fullback.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow added pace and spark to Queensland’s attack, Jojo Fifita was solid on both sides of the ball and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui helped settle the forward pack after returning from an early head injury assessment.
Cameron Munster, who had to leave the field for a head injury assessment (HIA), later returned and controlled key periods of the match.
Sam Walker steered the side around the park and Harry Grant’s quick service out of dummy-half kept Queensland on the front foot as they gradually overpowered New South Wales.
The Blues looked on track to wrap up the series early.

Kotoni Staggs crossed after a Queensland mistake before Fiji-born winger Mark Nawaqanitawase marked his State of Origin debut with a try as New South Wales raced to a 12-2 lead.
But Queensland slowly wrestled back momentum.
A brilliant long-range break from Tabuai-Fidow helped create the Maroons' first try with Trent Loiero crossing to reduce the deficit before halftime.
The second half belonged almost entirely to Queensland.
Jojo Fifita opened the scoring after the break before Cobbo struck twice in quick succession as the Maroons exposed New South Wales on the edges.
David Fifita added another four-pointer after leaping above Blues winger Brian To'o to collect a Cameron Munster kick while Lindsay Collins powered over from dummy-half as Queensland turned a tight contest into a runaway victory.
Cobbo completed his hat-trick late in the match, finishing off another sweeping Maroons movement.
New South Wales briefly threatened through Nawaqanitawase and Staggs while Mitch Barnett crossed late. But the Blues had no answer once Queensland found their rhythm.

The result ensures the 2026 State of Origin series will be decided in Game Three after the Blues entered Melbourne holding a 1-0 advantage following their dramatic Game One win in Sydney.
For Pacific fans, there were standout performances on both sides of the rivalry, with Cobbo, Ponga, Tabuai-Fidow, Fa'asuamaleaui, Jojo Fifita, Briton Nikora and Robert Toia playing key roles for Queensland while Nawaqanitawase provided one of New South Wales' brightest moments with a try on debut.
The Maroons and Blues will now meet in the deciding match at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday 8 July.
