She will take over the role from Wainikiti (Kiti) Bogidrau, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
In a statement about her election, Koster expressed her gratitude for the support from Oceania Netball and the trust placed in her to represent them on the World Netball Board.
"I am overwhelmed at the support of Oceania Netball and the trust they have in me to represent them on the World Netball Board.
“I recognise that I stand on the shoulders of those before me, in particular, the late Wainikiti Bogidrau, who was not just a netball colleague but a great friend.
“I was fortunate to journey with her through netball in Fiji and Oceania, and I continue to learn from her in this new space."
Koster looks forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and making sure that the voices of their members, especially those who face challenges but are passionate about the sport.
