Pacific Mornings host William Terite shares why he thinks the Greens need to use the waka-jumping legislation to kick Darleen Tana out of parliament.

Now it’s time for Will’s Word…
As the fallout continues over the Darleen Tana situation in the Green Party, it's clear that her continued presence in Parliament has become untenable.
A recent poll reveals that a significant majority of New Zealanders, 62 per cent to be precise, believe the Green Party should use the waka-jumping law to expel Tana from Parliament altogether.
The Green Party, having already expelled Tana from their ranks, faces a critical decision.
Tana’s failure to disclose serious allegations of worker exploitation tied to her husband’s business has hurt the party reputation and left many questioning her integrity.
Though the Greens have historically opposed the waka-jumping law, the circumstances now demand a pragmatic approach. The law, despite its controversial nature, may be the only viable option to resolve this issue decisively.
The time has come for the Greens to prioritise the integrity of their leadership and, by extension, the trust of the electorate.
