Vision NZ Candidate Karl Mokaraka, known for heckling National's Chris Luxon says his drive is for "forgotten families''.

A Vision New Zealand candidate for Panmure-Ōtāhuhu says politicians need to show up for vulnerable communities.
Karl Mokaraka had gained notoriety for derailing National leader Christopher Luxon's media stand up in Pakuranga, heckling him to turn up to communities such as Ōtara.
Vision NZ also recently protested at Labour Party's campaign launch, which Chris Hipkins criticised as a threat to democracy.
Mokaraka says politicians are overall too out of touch.
"A lot of politicians are out of touch with their communities," Mokaraka says.
"We hardly see them and they turn up like an endangered kiwi. We would only see them once in a lifetime.
"It was a declaration for about our communities, it was a bit of a cry on behalf of the forgotten families."
