What's your age? 66
Which suburb do you live in? Glendene, West Auckland
How many children do you have? I have two children, my daughter resides in London with my two grandchildren. My son Nikheel was killed in a road accident in 2001.
What's your ethnic background? Fijian Indian
What made you want to get into politics?
I got into politics to serve the people and to work for well-being of all people in 2003. I got into local politics in 2010 as I was keen to serve locals and ratepayers in West Auckland (please google for more information).
In 2013 I met with members of NZ First and joined the party. I have remained in the party which in the name states NZ First, putting New Zealanders First.
What's your plan or strategy to win a seat? The Kelston electorate has never been won by NZ First. I am planning to build my party votes to uplift the NZ Party to be in Parliament.
Who inspires you? My family is my strength and inspiration to do more for everyone to achieve their aspirations.
What are the key issues facing people in your area? Crime, poverty, housing, cost of living, safety are major issues in West Auckland.
What's your favourite place to eat or get a drink in your area? Well its slightly out of my area, however I love the Fiji style foods from Dundale Fusion Cafe and Ellas Kitchen also in the same area.
What's your message to the voters in your electorate or those that you're targeting for the party vote?
Our country needs us now, more than ever. Together we must tackle the cost of living crisis, improve the lives of our seniors and families. Party Vote NZ First, Let's Take Back Our Country.
