We are one day away from voters heading to polling booth to make their final decision on who’s fit to navigate our nation's waka.

But with Pacific voter turnout generally at the shallow end of the pool, content creators are jumping on board and encouraging people to get amongst the voting.

Niue Tokelau social media influencer and NiuFm Morning Shack host Regan Foa’i aka Robinhood Regz added his comedic touch to the campaign trail and released a video about ‘having your say’.

Foa’i says it's important using the power of social media for good.

“I think it’s really important people have been using their influence to not tell people who to vote for but if anything tell people how to vote or just try and encourage more people to get involved.

“I hope it’s a continuation of things to come as well when it comes to people who have built a following and use it to pass the correct information out to everyone.”

Foa’i takes the concept of the voting slogan "have your say" and intertwines it with realistic situations, flipping it on the viewer to question times they have voiced their opinion.

The opening scene is set with a conversation between brothers where one doesn’t see the value in voting and how that parallels the unpopular opinion of pineapples on pizza, then rolls into a few scenarios where people would likely speak up.

Like telling your barber what haircut you want.

Foa’i says he wanted to highlight relatable comparisons.

“I wanted to show the kind of things that may matter to them and…that having your say could mean a whole bunch of things.

“But bringing it back to the storyline and what he says at the start which was he didn’t believe in voting because he didn’t even vote for his dinner.”

As for Foa’i, he says he hasn’t voted … yet but is aiming to accomplish that before 7pm on election day.

To ensure you don’t walk out of the barbers wearing a hat, find a voting booth near you and have your say on October 14.
