The results are in for ASB Polyfest 2025, with schools across Tāmaki Makaurau claiming top honours in a vibrant showcase of culture and talent.

What started as a week of unfavourable weather ended with sunshine and clear blue skies at the Manukau Sports Bowl.

The final day of festivities concluded on a high note, with all five stages – Māori, Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue, and Sāmoa – giving their absolute best.

While massive public attendance was expected, it still served as an eye-opener, shining a spotlight on the leading performers of the day.

From the singing and dancing to oratory and costumes, each stage left a powerful impression, highlighting the significance of this year’s 50th anniversary.

Each performance reinforced the festival theme, ‘Legacy – a treasure handed down’, showcasing the commitment of the schools to preserve language, culture, and heritage.

While the day was dedicated to celebrating Polynesian culture, competition played a key role in Saturday’s event. Every school came prepared to give their all.

Ultimately, there can only be one winner.
