Pacific Artist Tenelle is making the most of her trip to New Zealand following the postponement of Tauranga’s One Love festival.
One Llove, which was supposed to launch this weekend, has been postponed till April after the Government announced that New Zealand would enter the red traffic light setting.
Tenelle had been in quarantine for almost two weeks preparing for the festival after travelling from the United States with the Wailers.
Despite her disappointment, Tenelle is staying positive.
“I am sad but everything happens for reasons you know, my whole families from here in Aotearoa.”
“I get to catch up with my family, a lot of people aren’t able to get MIQ positions.”
Tenelle, the 2021 Niu FM best International Pacific Artist at the Pacific Music Awards, has taken a positive approach to Covid’s impact on the world and says adapting in the moment could be a good thing.
“I was supposed to go to Australia after this tour, you know so everything being cancelled its ok, but always just make sure you have a plan and just stick to it you know.
“Maybe sometimes plans change and things shift but that’s alright, sometimes a good shifts good.”
Tenelle has already met Pacific artists Poetik and Aaradhna during her stay here and will perform at South Auckland’s club Royalz tonight.
