Tinā x Tala Giveaway

To celebrate the upcoming release of Samoan NZ film TINĀ – we are giving away x2 Chef’s Journey’s Meals at award winning Samoan restaurant Tala (valued at $350pp with a wine match), and x2 double passes to the Auckland premiere screening at The Civic on Februrary 11.

As New Zealand’s first modern Samoan restaurant, Tala has been awarded two coveted ‘hats’ and was named Restaurant of the Year at the 2024 Cuisine Good Food Awards. Tala is a new offering from chef Henry Onesemo that showcases traditional Samoan flavours through an
innovative, modern dining experience. “My goal in showcasing Samoan food is to retain the food memory but refine the dishes and make Samoan food ‘fashionable’,” Henry says.

Tinā follows choir teacher Mareta Percival, who after a personal loss takes on the role of a substitute teacher at an elite, wealthy and private school – she is surprised to find children crying out for guidance, inspiration and love. It’s a vibrant celebration of Samoan culture and the transformative power of music and community. It stars well-known theatre actress Anapela Polata'ivao and is the directorial debut of Miki Magasiva. Also starring newcomer Antonia Robinson, Beulah Koale and Nicole Whippy.

From the start of February to March 15, you can also show your ticket to see Tinā in cinemas, and receive a complimentary Tinā inspired cocktail or mocktail, and a 5% discount on your dining experince. T&Cs apply.

Tinā is coming to Aotearoa NZ cinemas from February 27.
