Fiji and New Zealand are celebrating victories at the Singapore 7s tournament of the World Rugby Sevens Series.
The Fijians secured their first win of the season by beating Kenya 21-12 in the men's final late Sunday, NZ time.
The win was especially significant, as it followed a tough competition in which they had lost to Argentina for the overall league title earlier in the weekend.
Fiji last won a Series tournament in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in December.
In the women's final, the Black Ferns 7s capped off a perfect weekend.
They not only won the Singapore title with a decisive 31-7 victory over Australia but also claimed the overall league title on Saturday, showcasing their dominance in Singapore.
New Zealand men lost to Ireland, 19-21, in the playoffs.
The men’s final was an exciting showdown, where Kenya, entering as the ninth seed and considered underdogs, faced off against the powerhouse Fijians, who are also double Olympic champions.

Sunday's final was tense at first, with no team scoring in the first quarter.
Fiji's captain Sevuloni Mocenacagi received a yellow card for an elbowing incident, putting his team at a temporary disadvantage.
Despite this, Fiji held firm and managed to keep Kenya from scoring until just before halftime, when the Africans finally broke through and got their first points.
The second half saw Fiji respond quickly, with Vuiviwa Naduvalo scoring to level the game.
Soon after, he scored again, putting Fiji ahead. Another try by Rauto Vakadranu seemed to seal the win for Fiji, despite a late effort from Kenya's William Mwanji Indakalu to close the gap.

In the women’s final, Michaela Black, nee Blyde, scored just over a minute from kickoff, demonstrating her impressive skill as the tournament’s leading scorer.
The Black Ferns then quickly added more points, while Australia managed to score a try during a brief moment of opportunity.
But New Zealand quickly regained control and piled on the points without allowing Australia to respond.
Their performance was strong enough to secure the win and emphasise their status as formidable competitors.
With these results, the Black Ferns solidified their lead in the league standings, finishing 10 points ahead of Australia.
